The Chinese appointed a dog as emperor, and the Romans appointed a horse as consul*, therefore it follows that I should be able to run a cafe. I'm taking on the Nati Cafe on a 6 month lease and a few things are going to change..
First we'll be OPEN SATURDAY NIGHT! For the first month we'll have $4 Coopers Green stubbies and $4 House wine on Saturday nights. Also the first Saturday of every month will be an Open Mic night.
Next there will be good wine and beers - about a dozen varieties of each, and all wines by the glass. I'll post the drinks list soon.
There'll be a shift in the food to using more local, organic and chemical free ingredients. We'll have freshly squeezed juices. Muffins on Friday, pancakes on Saturday and Devonshire Teas on Sunday (with amazing jam from Mason Clarke Preserving Co., Dimboola)
Last there will be the institution of SCRAPPY HOUR - 5-7pm Sunday - selling off all the remaining food, red wine and perishables cheap to fuel the long trip home to Melbourne, Adelaide or Horsham (see how I think of you ajf)
New hours:
Friday 7am - 11pm
Sat 8:30am - 11pm
Sun 8:30am - 7pm
I'll post under NatiCafe from now on for cafe related stuff.
Cheers!
