Great advice thanks guys. Will pick up a map today. Not decided on ski type yet, but alpine sounds like it could be easier to transition to. Was just going to pick up some rentals either way. Is there a benefit to cross country? There will be four of us (all around the same experience level) so I think we will try cram into my three man (3 seasons) tent for the night.
