The climbs are all on the older more metamorphosed rock in the deep, not the younger horizontal bedded and arguably chossy sandstones and conglomerates of Kanangra walls themselves. The experiences are more akin to alpine rockclimbing /mountaineering than cragging. The rock is pretty compact though it can dislodge in blocks and protection is sparser than at Araps :)
