Aw, com'on guys, have you heard of the term 'what are friends for?'
or does the formula go something more like this?
Friends = same climbing agenda
Friends = when you're desperate for a climb
Friends = when you're desperate for a belayer
Friendships do not equal anything else ie:
Friends (does not) = helping each other out when they're in need
Friends (does not) = helping each other out when they've f$^*#^ck up
Friends (does not) = helping out when you've lost the plot, going through a midlife crisis
further examples are welcome...
Is it really an inconvenience to drive a certain distance to pick up a 'friend' who's stranded? Do a friend a favour....
Besides, it's better to be in your car Neilo (the machete wielding maniac) than in some strangers car....
Back to topic... I've never been to Taipan, but looking forward to the day I can crank hard enough to climb there and more importantly when I find some climbing friends that I trust to give a good belay, friends who will support me and give encouragement... friends who look out for me and generally I'll be going there with friends who I really do consider friends.
Why taint such a beautiful place with anything less?
