Agreed, that's certainly not good if that's what's happening. I'm surprised though, I'd have thought it was easier to approach those areas walking over rock (maybe not since the fire though?). I think if any sort of ban doesn't seem reasonable to climbers then it's more likely to get ignored. Does one particular route just need to me marked perhaps? Or just stay on the rock?
