Another vote for NZ over Blue Lake, but if you can get the money/time then lots of places overseas are better yet. NZ ice can be good but a bit patchy and you generally either have to fly in and/or snow camp, whereas Europe/N America/Scandinavia you can stay in a cozy hotel and drive up to the bottom of climbs. Canada is awesome for this.
