Woooohooo! This just made my day! I would love to be a gentleman and decline this win... but I'm not going to, because I'm stoked! But I do promise that I won't enter the next book give-away on Chockstone :o) I don't think I'll turn professional, but the tax department can go and solo The Deeps before they get a cut of my climbing library!
Thanks Rob, by all accounts this new guide sounds amazing, and I can't wait to use it. But thanks also to the previous guidebook authors - easily forgotten. Although it was challenging to use, compiling and publishing route information in any form is a big task, and provides a major reference for later guidebooks. My dog-eared copy of the McMillan/Jones/Cleland guide will sit proudly alongside this new one. |
