They had a mishmash of snorkel gear - you may or may not get something that fits well. The snorkelling on the beach is ok but isn't that great, if enough people on the island are interested they will take a group to a better place (no scuba required, and I don't think they have the gear on the island permanently). Not sure abou the boat, but I doubt it. We went the other direction which meant a long boat to Ao Nang, then minibus then a large boat. The whole trip took most of a day.
