I was there early this year. I didn't climb a huge amount there but the bolts and tat seemed fine. The guys that bolted it were developing some other areas around Ao Nang on the mainland from memory. I liked it much better than Tonsai/Railay as it is a much better setup, much smaller and far fewer people, probably only about 15 people when I was there and only half were climbers (Tonsai/Railay is far too overpopulated for the size and infrastructure imo). That also means the climbing is limited, 4 days climbing and you will have done it all. A very rough guess of less than 50 routes with a few multipitch. There was a young english guy managing the island when I was there, pretty sure he can give you all the beta and given the whole beach/resort area is only about 2 or 3 hundred metres long, he wont be too far away.
There is some potential for DWS on the island but I didn't see any areas that have been cleaned by use so it was covered in lichen and gunk. There is another island nearby with a little fishing village that apparently doesn't like you to climb their island as they collect the very valuable bird's nests. The guy running the island said someone was shot once, though it could have been another island.
If you are fussy take some extra food incase you dont like the meals they cook, they seem to vary depending on when they last got supplies...
Overall much smaller, friendlier and more relaxed than Tonsai/Railay. When Tonsai was like Lao Liang is now it would have been extraordinary. I was probably15 years too late though.
