Just had a report from one of the Canberra Cross Country Ski club people - the snow is meant to be good at the moment - if you're lucky you'll be able to ski from Guthega right up to Blue Lake. A faster way to do it (and won't require National Parks entrance fee) is to park at Bullock Flat and take the ski tube to the top of Blue Cow, then traverse your way south/south west until you hit the Snowy River and follow it up to Blue Lake - then ski out via Charlotte Pass following the road back to Perisher (btw - the beer is cheap if you get it take-away from the supermarket in the Perisher ski-tube terminal - buuurp - essential for post work out carb replacement.)
