Go for Blue Lake, but I reckon if I did all that in 24hrs I would be a risk to myself and other drivers on the journey home. Probably many other skiiers are. May be more satisfying to go on a ski tour are to Mt Kosi summit or the Ramsheads. While there, practice A-threads on ice and surprise yourself at dubious stake placements. I have done this, and has allowed me to make quicker decisions when I get to NZ.
