Buffalo is also a wonderful place to go XC skiing. The road up to the Horn is fantastic, as is the ski from Catani to the Gorge, usually you have the place to yourself too. Only downside is a usual thin cover (tho it can also get epic) which is offset by the fact that nobody else is aound!
