I've poked around Bago a little bit and can confirm it certainly has potential. It is a pretty big cliff, probably 100mtr+ in some areas, strange conglomerate stuff. It is mostly solid up on top where I was. When I was there I looked around for any old carrots or any sign of an anchor or abseil left on the cliff I could see. I didn't see anything. I don't know how good it would be at the bottom. The best approached would be from the road on top which is rough but was accessible in a '97 Polo (punish it!). There is an obvious dip in the road and cliff top as you drive west to east along the trail on top. From this dip a single 50mtr abseil from trees might get you to the bottom.
There is some potential on Mt Jollynose by Queens Lake with ocean views. I have been to the top and bottom there, the bits I touched were chossy and loose down low but could possibly clean up. Again, it is conglomerate. Could be interesting sport climbing. I also only looked at one small portion from the bottom.
I have a house in Port Mac and plan on living there someday, go put some routes up so they are ready when I get there!
Edit: I have asked around and searched online and have not found any info at all on Bago. The one place I have not asked is the gym Port Mac.
