Online guides and print guides are not mutually exclusive - in fact with thesarvo.com the
print guides are generated from the online ones, then published via print on demand -
you can see the
generated PDFs here: http://stores.lulu.com/thesarvo
I'm surprised no one has done this for the ACA guides yet. Interested Neil?
The transform to nicely laid out PDF book form is pretty tricky - but thesarvo.com is set
up to do it fairly automatically (with a bit of custom software).
My experience has been that a lot of people use the guides online or print them out for
free, but there is also a significant number of people willing to pay for a book - for ease of
reading, and convenience. Given print-on-demands low setup cost (nothing in the case of
lulu.com) low numbers of people buying the book doesn't matter at all - you don't lose
anything (as opposed to the thousands of dollars of outlay for traditional printing).
