Chris n Co are probably the best candidates to put out a guidebook on bouldering.. They have pretty much done everything (Lets be honest, Chris HAS done The Wheel of Life, so ain't much more he needs to do there!) and would be the best people to provide accurate grades in comparison to others, star ratings, beta, guides to new areas and new problems

The current climb.org.au guides are awesome, but I find they are good for one trip, until the are trashed and you need to print off another.. I bought the new Arapiles guide when it came out.. I hadn't been to Araps in probably 3 years before that, but reading the new bouldering section (Ok Simey I know there is more to Araps than bouldering! ;) ) got me so psyched that we mustered the crew and had a great weekend seeing places like Torture Chambers and other areas that I didn't even know existed!

That should be the point of guidebooks - get people psyched and out on the rock, whatever style/medium/area/ethic/age/sex/species..

Sign me up for 2 copies of this guide when it comes out - 1 to cart around the Grampians whilst I drool over new problems and areas, and another to take pride of place on my coffee table!
