Dave, cheers for that - have heard about the granite at Qingdao sounds like good quality and nice spot, next to the ocean and all. Am looking into info for the stone forest at the moment - looks pretty crazy - don't know whether that might be a sacred area or some such. Also Huashan looks like it has the nicest white granite ever but not sure about proliferation of boulders - route climbing is banned on some of the cliffs there.
