the whole point of an auction on ebay in my opinion is to try and get as many bidders as possible and thus a higher buying price.
fair point. i've seen people sell things in an auction style on chockstone, however there is a simplicity with ebay in that there is a time limit for me (the seller) to know i'm guaranteed some sort of money and you are guaranteed a product if posted due to buyer protection.
having said that the stuff isn't all climbing related, i posted here so people could consider the pot and msr whisperlite.
with regard to it not all being climbing related, i'm sure i've seen things advertised on chockstone that are completely unrelated, houses/rooms for rent, guitars and cars etc.

would it have made a difference if i were only selling the pot and msr and it was on ebay?
