I loved my Robbins boots back in the day! Ideal for big walls (as they were designed for), and surprisingly good on free climbs. They made Angels at Buffalo like walking up a ladder, and I managed to climb some grade 19-20 slabs at Buffalo by the simple expedient of kicking the edge against the wall on the crux and successfully hooking onto a few crystals!
A heads up for anyone interested in the boots for sale, the sizing was always a little small. The steel shank and heavy rand means there's zero give/stretch, and since they're meant to be all day(s) boots, you wouldn't want them too tight! |
