Yes, I think dry treatment is good for alpine climbers, but not so useful for Australian conditions. I'd love bicolour ropes, but have only ever found them at full (eye-watering) price. I bought a Mammut Fusion 9.4 single/double/twin rated rope, which is the nicest rope I've ever had (current version is 9.3). I really like the versatility of triple rated ropes, and my next rope will be a 70m triple rated rope, when I can find one on sale. All these ones seem to be 60m unfortunately.
