I don't like dry treatments on my ropes much. Weird waxy feeling to them sometimes and I don't often climb when it's wet so it seems like a waste of money most of the time.
Bi-pattern on my single is good when out doing trad, but I can't rationalise the expense at the moment. Less useful when sport climbing other than to keep track of which end has been thrashed on a given day or perhaps giving you a heads up that lowering someone off might not end well. Bi-pattern on doubles seems silly as I almost never try to find the middle of those. |
