Hi all,
Main meals in the evening (6:30pm – 8:30pm) are:
Chickpea, spinach and potato jalfrezi – a spicy Indian dish served on basmati, with mango chutney and pappadums GF, vegan $19
Moroccan pumpkin and chickpea soup GF, vegan $10/15
Chicken cacciatore – chicken in a red wine, tomato and olive sauce - served on a bed of couscous with salad – all the herbs in this dish come from our back yard! (ask for rice if GF) $21
Lunch and dinner (even brekky if you feel like it):
Traditional Natimuk Kangaroo lasagne - $16.5 with salad, $9 without
Various vegetarian quiches - $16.5 with salad, $9 without
Spicy soy mince lasagne - $16.5 with salad, $9 without
Also there are new exciting beers (those following these posts for a while will have noticed that the word 'beer' is always preceded by 'exciting')
From Red Duck (craft brewers from Ballarat) we have a Hoppy Amber (not very hoppy but a nice amber), the Pale Rider - an interesting light flavoured pale ale - and the best of the three, The Tiger, a strong pale ale with quite some character.
From Little Creatures a Single Batch Red Indian Pale Ale, well they call it an IPA but it's more a red ale with a blush of hops, and Bostons Mill Pale Ale, an American style pale ale with a nice amount of hoppiness. Who would have thought that not only would America become the leader of the craft brewing movement but that Australian brewers would start imitating not only their style but their labelling? Life is full of surprises.
Cheers!
