Agreed! The serenity is a pretty advanced rope best for people pushing their limits at lead climbing or for use in alpine climbing and mountaineering. Unless you get two and use them as half ropes.
The Osprey is well suited to all round climbing including top roping and leading and has much better wear properties due to a thicker sheath and core.
These two ropes are close to opposite ends of the spectrum as far as dynamic ropes go, but 'horses for courses'
