Second hand crashpads are very rare/hard to find in Sydney, and new ones cost a shitload. Big Johns ships crashpads for free though and stocks the good brands like Organic and Revolution.

As for guidebooks:

Blue Mountains Climbing covers sport and trad and is pretty comprehensive. The price is steep but it is a fantastic guidebook with amazing photo topos, good maps and like several thousand routes.

Big John's at Blackheath has the Sydney Bouldering guidebook in stock for just $20 and it's a great fun guidebook.

Roped climbing in Sydney is all online! Here.

You might also want the Point Perpendicular and Nowra guidebooks you can get them in any gym or climbing store. They're both ok.
