The foamy-mouthed death threats screamed across the campground by some of the (physically restrained) 'victims' to their retreating foes suggests to me that they were perhaps not of Zen focus and pure lily-white thoughts themselves. They would be quite capable of violence.

And for the record, repeatedly leaving a camp unattended for days/weeks at a time, and then descending upon it with your wolf-pack (this was the scenario) and then expecting other established campers to move epic amounts of gear and cosy set-up... really?
