As a regular cyclist, what surprises me is the anger towards cyclists from car drivers. It is truly frightening to have 2 tonnes of metal pass within inches of you at 60-100km/hr - drivers know this. A small mistake in these road 'games' and the cyclist dies, and the driver goes to jail. It amazes me that more drivers and cyclists don't take the time to consider the consequence of their actions, how much later would you actually be by being a little courteous on the roads?
