surely this won't apply in Victoria where work cover (it is rumored ) is about to rule that anyclimb without fixed protection at a maximum of 2m spacing will be declared closed and climbing there on illegal . This is consistent with the current working at height regulations . Each bolt will need to carry a certifaction certificate issued by a registered practioner and checked biannually . They are still working on the requirements for the bolts ,and the qualifcations to place or certify protection. All portable and temporary protection will be banned as its placement and reliability is to inconsistent |
