Hint for using Credit Cards - Get a VISA card if you're travelling in Europe. Mastercard have a nasty habit of converting Euros (or any other non $US currency) into $US and then $US into $AU, whereas VISA convert direct to $AU.

I found this out when I bought 2 things of exactly the same price with my 2 cards, and they appeared on the statement with the M/C amount being higher than the VISA.
