I had Lloyds TSB do that to me when I was in Berlin a couple of years ago. I had literally no cash on me and no access to any. I ended up cleaning the hostel for 2 hours each morning to pay for my accomodation, but this still left me without food. I got pretty desperate on the 2nd night so set up on one of the more busy streets, put my beanie infront of me and basically demeaned myself for the next 2 hours. Stripped down to my australian boxers, pretended to surf on a piece of wood, gave surfing lessons on same piece of wood, spoke in a ridiculous australian accent etc. etc. Just anything I could do to get some busking money.
In 2 hours, I ended up with 48 euro. Needless to say, I was stoked, I bought myself a good dinner ( probably just bread and sausages ) and then spent the rest on piss with people from the hostel. Ahhh, backpacking europe. The joys of the everlasting hangover :) |
