I think it would be terrible to see the routes on the Clip Or Die wall with rings - it just wouldn't be right. One of the crux issues about fixed protection is that once it's there it's there forever. Hopefully first accenders invest considerable thought into deciding what sort and how much fixed gear goes into a new route. And then it's done. Finished. I'm not saying don't replace gear that's worn out or suspect but I'm certainly saying replace same with same.

So I'd if the gear on Green Eyed Monster was refreshed I'd like to see the green hangers retained, and the amazingly excessive s'steel wire thing (if it's still there) on Colditz Direct should stay and I'm sorry I never got around to climbing Toyland while it was still on carrots.
