The County is the best crag for moderate climbing in the Bluies. Don't stuff it up. One of my biggest regrets while I lived in Sydney was observing the access restrictions. I should have gone there every weekend.

Glue in machine bolts are the way to go on most county routes. Good enough. My reasons for this point of view are selfish. Less crowds and less metal ... both important to me.

Lower-offs would detract from the experience. Bringing up a second, feet dangling over the edge, taking it all is sometimes the best part of the day.

The risk of bolt plates detaching can be managed. If in doubt clip two plates or better yet cinch a wire over the top to keep it flush to the rock. If Noobs and Euros don't know how to do this then they should climb somewhere else. Climbing is about taking resonsibility for yourself not just pulling down and ticking numbers. I hope I haven't affended anyone with a masturbation reference.

The above should be applied with common sense. If a clip is really difficult (ie stupid) and a reshuffle can't fix it a ring/U/FH is fine.
