The pantheon of 80s and 90s rock and pop (Boston, Whitesnake, MC Hammer et al). Gods of the singing belayer. Stallone, the God of Orchestrated but Ultimately Underwhelming Climbing Bravado. Patron god of the plateaued intermediate climber. Dynos on plastic are the offering of choice to Stallone. Underprotecting an oft repeated route also wins favour with this god. Beginner climbers also worship at the altar of Stallone and as such his following is legion. Stallone is known in some cultures as Judge Dredd or Rambo and his influence thus extends into other facets of religious experience.
