I wish you had warned me about sacrifices to Hammertone when you said I could retrobolt that old route of yours in the Grampians Michael. I decided to abb down and haul the drill up to the spot it was needed. The abseil rope knocked off a large block which just missed killing Jerry by inches. I got to the relevant spot, Jerry tied on the pack with the bolt drill. I hauled it up and plunged my hand in to find a mass of broken metal and plastic. No sign of damage on the outside of the pack but the drill and batteries completely mashed. It really felt like some angry god was determined to stop us. |
