I applaud the crag.com guys for putting together a much more palatable licensing model. And also Brendan for working towards a standardised API. Progressive steps. It will be quite a challenge. Data quality is everything and finding a standard that doesn't require re engineering of existing solutions will be extremely tough. Agreeing on a security model should also be a key priority - perhaps openID might be the way to get user portability/interop. That said, I do think sharing data is the right way forward. I'm unable to spend any time developing these days, but I'll happily support the initiative from an ACA point of view.
