The FAs were done on NEW fixed gear... as time goes by the gear gets dodgier - just put rings in and it will be as safe as it was for the FA..., the 'history' of boldness will not have changed... I have heard that these routes were worked with extra bolts - which were then pulled.... if that is true the extras should be put back in, they were there to start with, and not having them 'ruins' the 'history' of the climbs... if it's not true kudos to the FA.
