Well taking things back full circle - I can see a case for using a set of hangerless bolts for a top anchor where the location of the anchor is to be set back and you don't want people lowering off them directly.
Because they're unthreadable you can avoid wear to the bolts from lowering off and the grooving of the lip of the topout. |
