Hmmm, I'll clarify my point a touch. I wasn't pointing bones just pointing out that with a fixed hanger, because it is solid, the draw can swing around and unclip itself. With a bolt plate it is free to move/rotate with the draw and is less likely to unclip. To help make this happen the biner clipping any piece of protection should be spun. Not something I do all the time with solid protection but definitely with bolt plates. This more a problem with vertical routes rather than steep routes. That's all. :-)) |
