Whatever floats your boat I reckon as it's all about the line and where that line starts. Personally I wouldn't have my name associated with a sit start on a climb regardless of the increase in grade as I personally believe sit starts shoudl stay with bouldering. At Felltimber there is a short route that starts at the "end" of a boulder problem (i.e., the finish holds on the boulder problem are the logical start for the route). One is described as a boulder problem, the other is described as a route...it is entirely feasible to do the route with the boulder problem start (sit-down) which would add at least 12 moves and at least 4 grades to the route...if you can be arsed. I suppose it's horses for courses as it could be entirely appropriate on a super short Nowra route but entirely inappropriate on a Mt Buffalo slab...tho that would be seriously funny to see :-D
