I had a good scare last year in Snowy River National Park. I was walking around and soloing a few nice cliffs for a couple of days. There's a nice little waterfall called Raymond Creek falls that has a resident Tiger Snake the scared the hell out of me. I came face to face with the little bugger. Luckily there was water benethe me coz I launched myself of there in a hurry. The water was freezing but a whole lot better than kissing the snake.
On the same trip I was soloing a nice cliff near mount Tabby, and I came across an eagles nest. Thay was amazing, I took a happy snap and then got out of there fast incase the resident returned.
On the walk down I bumbed into the biggest deer I have ever seen. I was enjoying myself quietly when the sucker let rip with one of those loud honking noises that they make. I reckon he was about 7 feet tall and about as wide as a horse across the chest. I screamed "Holy Fu#*en S@%t " and nearly laid some cable in my undies.
Maybe funny now but there's nothing like getting freaked out by a herbivore. Cute little buggers my arse.
