A couple of points..

- It is often difficult for scientists to reach agreement on a given topic. Climate scientists around the world unanimously agree that global median temperatures are increasing due to man made factors, ie, carbon emissions.

- Global warming will become the biggest issue in our history.

- Protecting and increasing our wilderness areas will help mitigate our carbon emissions (a better stand point that personal interest groups).

- The Labo(u)r government has not produced any effective outcomes on this issue. Mandating that 20% of our power generation has to come from renewable sources by 2020 provides no mechanism to reduce our current emissions, let alone from the agreed 1990 levels.

- Mr Rabbit is not worth mentioning on the subject.

- One of the main issues why the Greens did not support the government's ETS was that it locked Australia into coal fired power generation until almost 2050.

- No one has mentioned our War of Terror.

Anyway I'm off to vote.
