With a 3 year old and a five year old, I have quickly come to the conclusion that kids and cliffs don't mix. Its not so much the chance of rockfall, wich varies from cliff to cliff depending on the conditions of the area, but when your trying to lead, and your child is running amok at the bottom, its very of putting. For climbing, I need a nice relaxed environment. So, take your children to the campground, but no one has fun if you take them to the base of the cliff. They can't play, because you keep telling them off, you cant climb, other people get pissed off. If your going to climb, go climbing, if your looking after the kids, do that. Don't be half-arsed and try doing both at once.
