nice of the BCC to be so acommadating to climbers.

perhaps their duty of care only stretches to the items they provided such as the super fat toprope belay anchors built to withstand umeasurable load factors (from a climbers view point at least), and takining into consideration the "assumption of risk" inherent in all climbing activities then counceil has probably done enough.

(belay anchors are probably there for absailing grps anyway?)

So that while doing some pump 26 on TR, you fall 'cos your belayer was tying their shoe lace/picking nose whatever, its hard to see how the council could be held liable.

If you fell 'cos the TR anchor installed by the council had rusted through or pulled out 'cos it was badly installed then I'm suer they would be liable.

How does the fence benifit climbers? Does it stop them peeling off the top or bottom? Again if the fence failed to adequetly do the job for some reason, liability may fall on the council.

I gather then most of the accidents at KP were not due to the Councils negligence.
