I don't think it's just the meat industry getting the cynic going in you. Think of the sports supplements industry...! I was checking the content of a few protein powders for a subject this year and it's pretty hilarious what's in it. It's known now that of the 20 amino acids, there are only three (leucine, isoleucine and valine) which are important in promoting muscle growth. All the top end powders, even though they contained a higher % of the 3 AA's, they also contained stupid amounts of every other amino acid purely to bulk it out and claim 'more protein per 100g.'

Yeah, thats it Hugh. Compeltely agree. What works for some people, won;t necessarily work for others. Stick to what works for yourself and enjoy food!
