I think if I was confronted with a response like this to a general enquiry, I would probably feel a little unwelcome and intimidated. Sounds like you are doing great work Ado, and yep, it sure as hell is frustrating... but perhaps being a little more gentle on anyone expressing an interest might encourage more helpers. This thread could be a great way to stir up a bit of debate and generate some publicity/interest/manpower (not the stage show...). In my experience getting volunteers for events like this is like getting a date. Lots of cunning and gentle manipulation required.
