Hey bluey, was the gym Nunna, the singlet black, and the beanie clad gent quite tall???
If so the 'bogan' you refer to was me!

So am I a bogan because of the beanie, or the singlet, or the combo? Also I need to know whether once the beanie goes on, is the metamorphosis permanent or can one 'switch it on and off'?

I'm an IT consultant living just outside of Melbourne's CBD, which probably makes me quite average and typical within the Chockstone community.
Over the last 3 years I've spent significant time living and working in the US, Middle East, and Europe, and the more time I spent outside of our darling AUS the more I grew to cherish the idea our iconic bogan. Unfortunately though I can't shake my penchant for Squires Amber Ale in favour of the Bundy & Coke.
I therefore believe you were too hasty in bestowing upon me such a generous label.

Easy: I climb in a singlet and shorts because I sweat less in these. I've worn a beanie twice in the last 2 weeks to Nunna because on those days I elected not to put junk in my hair.

If you see me there again (I'm there twice a week) come and say hello.

And to all: Embrace your inner bogan :)
