Why are you attacking myself/my partner? You make it sound like he's coming to Aus to purely climb slabs. I must say - that is NOT the case.
He's definiantly keen to climb what we have, but is interested in maintaining his skills - can you blame him?

We climb almost every night after work (and working in Hathersage has its benifits) as we all shoot out to crags which as you might know, stanage/burbage is less than a 5 minute drive, and about 15 mins from Sheffield.

I'm here trying to convince him he'll thoroughly enjoy our culture, and our climbing, dispite the general distance we all have to travel to get to crags. - (I don't think moving to Natimuk is an option for us) but you guys are all being Prats.

I am a Proud Australian, who gets taunted at work for being Aussie, with most days co-working mimmicking my accent amoungst other things, now you see, I don't mind that! It's all in jest, and I'm really learning more about climbing and its (extreme) culture and ethics, working with people who are esteemed/strong/techniquey climbers, as well as people who work on the rescue teams (Mountain Rescue) and I feel I'm learning a lot.
But right now I am upset and ashamed you guys have been so unsupportive and just damn rude.

Only a few of you have been helpful, and I thank the ones who have - I've been trying to explain to him as we don't have a very large climbing scene(or industry), we have a very close knit community - but now I'm not so sure. You all seem very insecure, was it nessisary for you to respond that way?

Regardless - The English love having Australian Climbers. The Cossey's are held in high esteem, as be other visiting Australians - Dave Jones leading some rarely lead climbs, due to the exposure (I think it's on Hard Grit) have defininantly left thier mark on the UK.
