thats great!
i got away with a 4 inch folding knife coming back from NZ in 2008 in my cabin luggage.
went through the scanner thing and the security pulled me aside and said have i got a knife in there.
i replied with i dunno, i lost my knife the other week so it could be there.
he then asked me to see it
i asked if he could re scan it so i could determine where abouts in my bag i should be looking because i had looked for it before in there.
I found it
then he said that's okay to bring on, as long as you put it in your checked luggage if you go on any other connecting flights after Sydney.
