We have it installed in our house. It is IMPOSSIBLE for it to make the house hotter because it is thermostat controled. If the roof is hotter than inside your house, and your desired temp is for a lower internal temp, it will NOT pump warm air into your house.
It is primarily a heating system for winter, because then the hot air in your roof is availabe when you want it .. durring the day. In summer, you have to wait until the night before the roof space cools sufficently before it pumps cool air into your house. When it does, its like a gentle sea breeze. So it is not "on" as much in summer in cooling mode as it is in winter in heating mode, but it CANNOT make your house hotter. Its also very clever that it does not allow heat to escape in winter even when its not actively pumping air into your house. One of the better products we have in our house.
Basicly, free warm air in winter months, and a bit of additional cooling in summer.
