3 use the telstra network outside the capitals . the signal is fine it is the phone that counts . Telstra have phones that they approve for regional areas they are given a tick on their ads . basically not many phones have this tick and only telstra rate their phones as part of their agreement with three is that three only sell where they have their own network but their customers may use telstra on roam . Hence 3 dont rate their phones as country friendly or not . We have a 3 sony ericson which has pretty poor reception when compared to telstra ticked phones . Needless to say telstra are the dearest of all the carriers |
