A better workout than chin-ups is the "Frenchie". Have been doing 2 sets of these a day for a couple of months now and have worked out that your lock off strength is a lot more important than your chin up strength. A frenchie is a cin up then lock off for a count of 7 at eye level to the bar, all the way down then all the way back up and lower antil your elbow is at 90 degrees and hold for a count of 7 then down back up to the top and lower till your elbow is halfway between 90 and fully straight and hold for a count of 7. That is one frenchie, awesome lock off work out.
