Got any friends/relatives in tasi? If so you could buy a cheap return ticket to hobart, attend a tasmanian wilderness first aid course (which is heavily subsidised by the tasmanian government) and it would probably still be cheaper than doing it in vic. I forget what the difference in price is between a vic & tas course, but it was in the hundreds of dollars when i did it 3 years back. Just a thought... Rob
